On October 30, the Harvard Business Review China Annual Conference, themed “The Era of Sound Currency,” convened in Beijing, unveiling the much-anticipated 2024 Dingge Awards for Digital Transformation Pioneers. Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereafter referred to as LEAD) received the “2024 Dingge Financial Transformation Model Award” for its financial digital transformation project, while Senior Vice President Ms. Gong Chenyu was honored with the title of “2024 CFO of the Year” for her exceptional contributions to LEAD’s financial digital transformation.
Co-hosted by Caijing Magazine and SAP, with core support from the Chinese edition of Harvard Business Review, the Dingge Awards are recognized as one of China’s leading awards in digital transformation. Since its inception in 2018, the awards have garnered over 1,600 project submissions from more than 1,100 companies. By highlighting outstanding cases in digital transformation across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, the Dingge Awards aim to illuminate the path for Chinese enterprises in digital innovation.
This year’s selection process spanned six months, with more than 200 companies vying for awards. Experts conducted online evaluations of 15 companies and on-site investigations of 26 others in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Wuxi. The panel sought out examples of digital transformation that sparked significant business change.
LEAD’s award-winning financial digital transformation project, led by Senior Vice President Ms. Gong Chenyu, focuses on project accounting as the backbone of project control transformation, setting a digital operational framework. Launched in 2023, the project integrates LEAD’s financial and operational systems, establishing automated and intelligent management of the project lifecycle. By enhancing precision in financial accounting and creating a smart performance management system, the project facilitates insightful business analysis and enables data-driven decision-making, making it an indispensable strategic tool for LEAD’s management team.
Ms. Gong’s pivotal role in driving LEAD’s digital transformation earned her the “2024 CFO of the Year” award. Reflecting on the project, Ms. Gong remarked, “Digital transformation is a marathon led by business challenges that requires clear objectives, resilience in overcoming non-standardized obstacles, and the persistence to establish standardized processes. Success also demands building a supportive organizational structure, attracting talent, and optimizing workflows to secure sustainable, high-efficiency growth for the company.”
